Watson T. Stewart, age 69, died at Cooper Hospital, Camden NJ, on March 30, 2012 following a courageous battle with multiple health issues. Watson recently returned to Bridgeton, NJ to retire.
He was born Dec. 19, 1942, at home in Lawrence Township, NJ. to: Watson C. and Olive W. Stewart now deceased.
He graduated from Bridgeton Sr. High, June of 1961. Watson had a degree in Nursing, from Phila. PA., Respiratory Care degree from Lancaster P.A., and a Bachelor from Chicago IL. Watson taught at City College of Chicago, Malcolm-X Chicago, IL, and St. Augustine College, West Argyle St. Chicago, IL, where he was respected by his colleagues and student body. He was a loving devoted member of The Episcopal Church of the Atonement.
Watson (AKA) Stew is survived by his sisters and one aunt Corinda Waters, Joyce Sheppard, Olive Stewart Doss; brother Leon (Lionel) Stewart; sister-in-law Brenda, John Ridge, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of close friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by parents, sisters JoAnn and Brenda, and brother Leonard L. Stewart.
Funeral Mass for Watson (Stew) T. Stewart will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Atonement, 5749 N. Kenmore Ave. Chicago IL. 60669, on April 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Additional funeral service will be held in Bridgeton, NJ on a later date.
