Alex Williams's Obituary

Alex Williams, Jr. made his grand entrance into this
world on Wednesday, December 7, 1955 in the city of
Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The proud parents were Alex
Williams, Sr. and Lela Mildred Smith both deceased.

Lela relocated to Vineland, NJ in November of 1963
along with her six children of which Alex was the
third.
Alex graduated from Vineland Sr. High School in
1975. Having received a sports scholarship to a
historically black university, Alex played the position
of inside linebacker for Bethune-Cookman University
located in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Alex married the love of his life, Andrea Williams.
From that union, Alex Williams, III was born.
Alex settled in the Vineland, NJ area where he took on
a career of working in the glass industry. He was
employed by Kimble Glass of Vineland, NJ and
Wheaton Glass of Millville, NJ.
Alex relocated to Trenton, NJ where his health
challenges made him vulnerable to the plague that
has taken the life of too many of our loved onesCovid-19 may have won the battle on Tuesday,
January 26, 2021, but it did not win the war.
The bible says in Isaiah 43:6, "I will say to the north,
Give up; and to the South, Keep not back: bring my
sons from far and my daughters from the ends of the
earth."
When that trumpet sounds, (2 Thess 4:16) Alex will be
caught up into the air along with us to meet the Lord
and to be escorted by heavenly angels into the New
Jerusalem.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents, his
brother, Curtis Smith; his sister, Martha Williams and
his niece, Christine Reese.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his son, Alex
Williams, III of Vineland, NJ, his grandchildren,
Makhii Sincere and Mariah Sanaa Williams
(Philadelphia, PA), his siblings, Martha Jean Reese of
Woodstown, NJ, Louis (Francis) Williams of Adelphi,
MD and Jerome Williams of Trenton, NJ.
