ALVIN W. WALKER , 78, known to many as "Gadson" or "Wine" was born August 24, 1943, in Charleston, SC to the late Emily Walker.

ALVIN attended Bridgeton Public Schools. Alvin was joined in marriage on November 10, 1967, to Louise M. Ford And from this union a daughter, Alvette A. Walker.

ALVIN gave his life to Christ and was a member of Allen AME Church in Atlantic City, NJ. He later moved to Bridgeton and was a faithful member of Glory Tabernacle. He loved ushering. He worked at Convention Center as an equipment operator.

ALVIN enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He could sing and dance, he liked playing cards and walking on the boardwalk. He loved the oldies music and was a diehard New York Giants fan.

ALVIN leaves to cherish his memories children; Alvette Walker of Atlanta, GA, Marvin, Yvonne, Carla of Atlanta, GA, Jackie, Kate of New York, Andrew, Braheem, Alvin, Jr., Alvin Johnson of Jersey City, brother Roger Deveaux (Barb) of Bridgeton, New Jersey, sisters; Margaret Purvis Atlantic City, NJ, Cheryl Harley of Galloway, NJ, Shelly Brown of Pleasantville, NJ, grandson Daron Walker of Atlanta, GA, grands, great grands, a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, a dear friend and caregiver Catherine Green. And many other friends he made along his journey.

ALVIN was predeceased in death by his mother Emily Walker, sister Celesta Brown, brothers; Oliver Joe Walker, Alan (China) Walker and John (Sunny Boy) Walker.
