Annie Pearl Smith (Nee Roberts) was born on January 16. 1952 in Belle Glade, Florida. She went on to live in the house of the Lord on Sunday, November 22, 2020, to be reunited with her loving husband, Joseph H. Smith.
Mrs. Smith moved to New Jersey at a very young age, and grew up in Cedarville. She worked for Owens Illinois and then Kimble Glass for the majority of her adult life until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed playing baseball, as well as bowling. She was on many leagues and won several trophies. She loved growing plants and flowers, and it showed through the many plants she had in her home as well as the large variety of flowers that garnished her yard.
Anyone who knew her, knew that she had a love for people. No matter the circumstances no was not a word in her vocabulary unless she really was not in the position to help.
Mrs. Smith leaves to cherish many loving memories with, 1 son, James Coleman of Vineland, NJ; 2 daughters, Cordelia Roberts of Vineland NJ and Sonya Roberts of Bridgeton, NJ; 8 grandchildren, Juanita Roberts of Jackson, Ms.; Vanessa Capriotti and James Roberts, Vineland, NJ; Markus Lane of Bridgeton, NJ; James Coleman Jr. and Semaj Sullivan of Vineland, NJ; and Alahna and Sy Broglin of Fairton, NJ; 1 step-sister, Clara Mae Burns of Bridgeton, NJ. She also has 3 great grandsons.
Mrs. Smith is also survived by four stepchildren Todd Smith (Nakia) and Dana Byers of Bridgeton, NJ; Curtis Custis (Jeannine) of Glassboro, NJ; and Nicole Smith of Maryland. She also had several brother-in-laws and 2 sister-in-laws, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews through her union with Joseph.
She was predeceased by her mother, Rosa Mae Denby; her father, Sammy Roberts; and one grandson, Joseph Henry Lane.
