Anthony Bartley, Sr. (fondly known as "Chubby and Big Red") was born on December 8, 1957, in Bridgeton, NJ to the late James and Eula Mae Bartley. Following a brief illness Anthony passed away peacefully on September 11, 2020.

Anthony's upbringing was founded on unconditional love, support, strong work ethics, and plenty of fun and laughter. He attended the Bridgeton public schools and Job Corp. Upon graduating from Job Corp, he began working for John B. Kelly for Brickwork of Philadelphia, PA., as a construction laborer. A career that spanned over 20+ years, until his retirement.

On January 14, 1982, Anthony became the proud father to his son, Anthony Bartley, Jr., who in kind with his wife, Rhoda had four lovely and adorable children. He loved being a father and grandfather.

Anthony was passionate about helping others and making you feel good about yourself. No matter how difficult of a day that you may be having, he would always find the good in it.

He also was our Mr. Fix-it, no job was too big or small. Most of the time, the job would be done satisfactory, but every so often, there may be some flaws in the workmanship. Still, he persevered until it was correct. We will miss Anthony's kindness, love, compassion, helpfulness and just being a great brother and friend.

Anthony leaves to treasure his memories, Vanessa, his daughter-in law, Rhoda (Anthony), four lovely grandchildren, Shawnae Bartley, Taylor Bartley, Anthony Bartley III, and Ayden Bartley. His brothers, John Bartley of Bridgeton, NJ, Vincent (Betty) Bartley of Millville, Nathaniel Bartley of Bridgeton, NJ, Terry (Yoshida) Bartley of Bowie, MD, Bruce (Delores) Bartley of Millville, NJ, and Michael Bartley of Bridgeton, NJ. A host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many endearing friends.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, son, Anthony (Rhoda) Bartley, and four siblings, Daniel L. (Marcella) Bartley, James (Deborah) Bartley, Shirley J. (Bartley) Cannon, and Richard Wayne Bartley.
