Arlene Marie
Stone
March 27, 1934 – January 8, 2025
Arlene Marie Stone, 90, of Pittsgrove, NJ, entered into eternal rest on January 8, 2025. Born on March 27, 1934, she was the cherished wife of the late Latin Stone, Jr., with whom she shared a lifetime of love, faith, and treasured memories.
Known affectionately as "Smiling Arlene," she was a beacon of love and warmth, always gracing those around her with a radiant smile and a kind word. Arlene's unwavering faith and dedication to her family defined her life, as she served as a constant source of strength, guidance, and encouragement to all who knew her.
In her later years, Arlene faced the challenges of dementia with remarkable grace and resilience. Even as her memory faded, her enduring faith, joyful spirit, and steadfast love for her family remained a testament to her inner strength. She faced each day with courage and unwavering determination, inspiring all who were blessed to know her.
A devoted member of The Gethsemane Church of God in Christ in Woodbury, Arlene faithfully served as Treasurer for many years. Her life revolved around her relationship with God and her family. She found joy in singing church hymns with her beautiful voice, tending to her garden, and traveling—especially after overcoming her fear of flying. She had a deep appreciation for nature and a special fondness for butterflies, finding joy in spending time outdoors. Her resilience and steadfast faith inspired all who were blessed to know her.
Arlene is survived by her beloved sister Edith Jones; her children, Latin A. Stone III, Gregory Stone (Beverly), Juellet Brown (Bruce), Robert Stone (Linda), and Cynthia Karnik (Kevin); her grandchildren, Keva Green, Shawn Stone ((Felicia), Robert Shawn Stone, Keeva Riddick, Keara Stone, Gregory Stone Jr. (Jen), Hasheen Riddick, Julliun Omar Riddick, and Kevin Stone; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Latin Stone, Jr., and eleven brothers and sisters.
