Audrey Mae Henry, our Queen 81 years old of Vineland, New Jersey, departed this life peacefully on July 14, 2022, at her home with her children.

Audrey Mae Green "Queen" was born in Crisfield, Maryland to the late Walter Marion Green and Amelia L. Green on July 3, 1941. Audrey was a hardworking, loving, kind, selfless, faithful, and loyal woman of God who persevered and overcame many obstacles to get to the mountain top. Audrey attended the Vineland Public School District for her elementary and high school education. On December 16, 1961, Audrey united in holy matrimony to the late Leon James Henry Sr. of Maurice River, NJ. This union of 39 years was blessed with nine children. While nurturing her children and working a full-time job, Audrey pursued her passion of becoming a nurse, and in 1984 enrolled in the Nursing Degree Program at Cumberland County College. Audrey would go on to earn her Nursing Degree on April 12, 1990.

Before and while pursuing her goal of becoming a nurse, Audrey was employed with the Commercial Township Board of Education (Haleyville Mauricetown Elementary School) in the Environmental Services Department from 1976-1979. Audrey also worked as a Direct Support Professional with the Woodbine Developmental Center for eight years (1979-1987). In 1990, Audrey began her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the Vineland Developmental Center where Audrey remained employed until her retirement in July 2007. After retirement, Audrey spent her time doing what she loved: knitting, crocheting, watching Westerns, and enjoying family. Audrey crocheted Afghans with love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as other family members and friends. The Afghans were an embodiment of Audrey's loving, kind, and selfless spirit.

Audrey was a longtime member of the Temple of Yahweh and Body of Yahshua, Vineland, New Jersey.

Audrey is proceeded in death by her ex-husband Leon James Henry, Sr., brother Theodore Green, Sr., and sister Amelia Lee McFarland. Audrey leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Vernon Green and Leon James Henry Jr., Deon D. Henry Sr., Mark Anthony Henry Sr., and five daughters Alisa Ann Terrell, Simone Jurann Lewis, Damita Jo Thorne, Amita Yvonne Dunbar, and Audrey Mae Lloyd; several sons and daughter-in-laws; 27 Grandchildren; 46 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; five siblings (Kathleen Spain, Clara Luster, Nola Green-Vaughn, Denise Farrow, Marion Green, Jr.) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
