Barry R. Green, Sr. departed this life on August 31,2021.  Barry was born on January 26, 1943.  He was educated in the Salem City School system.

Barry had a very adventurous spirit.  He planned and carried out many fun adventures with his children, Tanya and Barry Jr.  They enjoyed the outdoors and loved finding new and exciting things to do and try.

In  1984, Barry and Marilyn Womack were joined together in Holy Matrimony.  For the next 35 plus years they enjoyed traveling, entertaining, and hanging out with friends and family.  Barry loved hunting and fishing and spent many hours enjoying these sports.  One of his greatest forms of entertainment was NASCAR.  When he wasn't attending an event, he was watching it on the television.

Barry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Green Henson, stepfather, Leroy Henson; four aunts, Frances Wardlow, Bertha Cuff, Anna Young and Daisy Jones, five uncles, Harry, Franklyn, Ross, Charles (Arthur) and Luther; one granddaughter, Kristen and one great grandson, Jason.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Marilyn; daughter Tanya Green Savage (Paul); son, Barry Jr.; eight grandchildren, Letisha, Kymbreia, Candace, Aliyah, Barry III, Inez, Shaun and Danae; eight great grandchildren, Jamyla, Lailoni, James, Jaleel, Elijah,Jamar, Mia and Corea, and a host of relatives and friends.
