Benjamin C, Mosley's Obituary

Benjamin Clifford Mosley Jr. entered this world on September 5"" 1941, in
Jersey City, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Benjamin Sr. and
Marcelina Mosley. He was one of 8 children. He began to start his family
and later relocated to South Jersey residing in Bridgeton. Benjamin had 11
children in total.


Benjamin started his career working with the Sherrif police department in
the late 80's. He later went on to become a detective and was known to be one of "The Best" to ever do it. He took part in multiple sting operations and drug busts. Upon his departure from the police department, he started his
own construction business with his sons called "Mosley and Sons". He
operated this business alongside his sons for a few years. He also owned /
operated a cab during his later years before retiring.


Benjamin was well known by the community He took pride in his heritage
and culture as a Nanticoke - Lenni Lenape Indian. He spent time making
beautiful tribal walking canes and sticks, that represented his heritage, with
his wife Sug. He also enjoyed making jewelry and keychains out of beads.
Of all, his most favorite pastime waS watching wrestling Whether it was a
Saturday morning with his coffee or during the week in the evenings with
his root beer floats, you could find him in front of the tv screen watching
wrestling. Benjamin also had a love for music. The blues, soul, and country
music were his favorite genres.


Benjamin was predeceased by his parents Benjamin Sr. and Marcelina
Mosley; two brothers George and Donald Mosley; four sisters Marcia
Mosley Santiago, Sharon Mosley Hunter, Jean Mosley, and Gail Mosley; his
granddaughter Joyce Evelyn Thompkins; his grandson Jayvon Goolsby; and
four of his children Anthony Dwaine Mosley, Benjamin Clifford Mosley IIl,
Tisha Mosley, and Brenda Thompkins.


Benjamin is survived by his wife Robin ""Sug" Mosley; five sons Irving
David (Debra) Thompkins, Christopher Mosley (Andrea Handy); Joseph
Mosley, Denzel Mosley, and Joshua Mosley; two daughters Michele (Willie)
Goolsby, and Nyree Mosley; Grandchildren Irving David Thompkins Jr.
Keven Thompkins, Aikeem Byrd, Jacquetta Jackson, Zuri (Precious) Jones,
Lateka Mosley, Jason Thompkins, Nathaniel Barbary, Katrell Barbary.
Sha'Brea Austin, Sha'Nya Goolsby, Russell Austin Jr., Willie Lee Goolsby
Jr., Ka'Niah Williams, and Mai Lani Rozell Mosley, and his Great-
Grandchildren. Along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He had a special bond with nieces Sharon Mosley and Samantha Mosley
who tended to and cared for him often.
