Bennie Coates Jr., age 86 of Westville, NJ departed this life on September 5, 2021 at Inspira Hospital. He was the first born son of the late Bennie and Leona Coates. Bennie was born in Aiken, SC on August 24, 1935. While moving to New Jersey in his teens years, he received multiple educational degrees and was employed at GTE for over 37 years as an Electrical Engineer.

Bennie will be remembered as devoted, loving and caring person. His passion was his family, The H.E.L.P Inc, the Food Pantry of Blackwood through Living Word Bible Fellowship and a vast amount of community endeavors.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son Sharwin Coates, Philadephia, Pa and one daughter Shari Russell, Elk Twp, NJ, a step son, Ricky Mosley, Lenoir City, TN (Kathleen),  7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at Living Word Bible Fellowship 543 Somerdale Rd Blackwood, NJ 08012 on Saturday September 18th, 2021. The viewing will be from 9am to 11am, funeral services will be held at 11am with LIMITED SEATING . Please contact the family for Zoom Viewing Information.
