Bernadette (Pierre) Joseph, daughter of the late Brunoes and Corilia Andre Pierre, was born in Acul du Nord, Haiti on November 17, 1938.

She resided in the United States since 1966 and become a proud United States citizen in 1968. Bernadette P Joseph, known as Mommy gwo (Big Momma) to many family and friends, lived in Vineland, NJ for 55 years. She then lived in Clermont, Florida for three years prior to her passing.

Bernadette was married to the late Ferdinand (Fred) Joseph for twenty-seven years. She worked for many years at the former Progresso factory in Vineland, New Jersey. She retired in 1997, following twenty-eight years, as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland, New Jersey. She was a dedicated baptized servant to Jehovah God and belonged to the Vineland Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Bernadette embodied resilience, faith, and determination from an early age. With unwavering strength and sometimes tough love, she laid the foundation for what would become a thriving, multi-generational legacy. Her home was a sanctuary for many. She was a guiding light, always ready with words of wisdom, and a helping hand for anyone in need. Her life is a testament to the power of perseverance and striving for a better life, and her legacy will continue throughout generations to come.

Bernadette passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memories; her daughters, Sheila and Natacha; grandchildren, Josiah, Caleb and Gabriel; brother, Fritzner Pierre and sister Conceptia Julien and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and family and friends that she adopted as her own. Their are truly too many names to list, but we will never forget her impact in our lives.
