Bernice Evans, 80, of Vineland gained her wings to fly peacefully with the angels on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Born on September 17, 1942, in Sneads, Florida to the late Henry & Luddie Miller.
As a young lady, Bernice moved from Burgaw, NC to Vineland, NJ and was a dedicated employee at Kimble Glass Company, for over 20 years. She truly "meant what she said." Her favorite southern cooking recipes will be truly missed and kept in the family as baking macaroni & cheese and caramel cakes were a special staple during the holidays.
"Grams" as she was known to be called by her 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, especially valued her strength and natural humor. Bernice was married to the late Shelley C. Evans. Some of Bernice's most cherished memories were preparing Thanksgiving meals, relaxing at home, watching ABC news, Dallas Cowboys football, and spending time with her five children. She enjoyed traveling down south to North Carolina and Florida to visit family and friends.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters respectively: Henry Miller, Jr.; Jack Miller; Dempsey Thomas; Mable Smith; Lenora Lambert; Jean Rochelle; Carolyn Castillo.
She leaves to cherish her memories; sisters: Betty Cleveland, Burgaw, NC and Patsy Spencer, Burgaw, NC; sons, Michael A. Miller, Las Vegas, Nevada, Angelo Finney, Burgaw, NC, Clark A.
