Carl Blane Boozer, transitioned peacefully in his sleep on July 24, 2024, in Irvington, N.J. Born on November 23, 1963, to the late Charles and Nettie -Gingham Boozer in Vineland N.J. Carl was raised by his mother and his cherished grandmother, Lula Mae Gingham, alongside his siblings: the late Tomona Boozer, the late Charles Boozer, Aaron Dean Gingham, Sonia Thompson, and Perry Boozer, Rakael Carr married to Johnie Carr, Shulamis and Leah Boozer.

Carl grew up in a close -knit family that instilled in him the values of love, compassion, and hard work. As a child, he was actively involved in the House of Prayer for All People. An exceptional athlete, Carl was an all -star basketball player at Vineland High School, where he proudly wore the number five jersey. His passion for basketball continued while residing in North Carolina with his lifelong and special friend, Denise Hopewell. There, he became a respected referee at Cherry Point Marine Base, officiating three to four games a day and earning a reputation for his fair and skilled regulation of calls.

Carl was deeply dedicated to his community. He worked for Ripley's Believe It or Not in Atlantic City, NJ, for over eight years and also owned and operated his own cab and transportation business. His commitment to volunteering and helping others was a testament to his generous spirit.

Carl's dreams and inspirations served as a guiding light to all who knew and loved him. Throughout his life, Carl cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his seven children: Dennis Ramos (married to Jocelyn Velez Ramos), LaToya Nicole Hopewell -Cantie (married to Cornelius Cantie), LaTasha Marie Mahdi (married to Saladin M. Mahdi), Carl Nunez, Desiree' Russell, and Lillian Gaston (married to Kenny Gaston). He took immense joy in watching his grandchildren: Tramyne DyTrell Hickmon, Iesa Nicolas Cantie, Noah Christopher Cantie, Sayyid Asir Mahdi, Danasia Russell, Kameron Russell, Kingston Russell, Kendall Gaston, Kameron Gaston, and the grandchildren he loved like his own: Amiya Hopewell, Deanna Hopewell, Destiny Hopewell, Quawmier Hopewell, and TreQuan Hopewell. He is also remembered by the young men he helped raise: Antwine Hopewell, Antrell Hopewell, and Henny Hopewell, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends whom he dearly cherished.

Carl's legacy of kindness, strength, dedication, and athleticism will be affectionately remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him and loving him. Rest in Peace until we see you again!
