Carrie Bell (Summersett) Thomas, age 95, passed away peacefully in her home in Gouldtown, NJ on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020. Carrie B is the oldest of 12 children born to Viola Reddick and Cluster Summerset.  Carrie was born on August 14, 1925 and was raised in Ailey, Georgia.

Carrie received her early education in a one room school house in Montgomery County, Georgia. She was a devoted wife & lovingly raised and educated 7 children (Leroy, Delores {d}, Dorothy Marie, Shura T. Abdus, William, Viola, and Austin Craig, Sr.).  Carrie proudly enjoyed her (16) grandchildren, (19) great-grandchildren and (5) great- great grandchildren.

She worked at so many hard jobs—in field harvesting, chicken houses, factories, house cleaning, and child-care provider, all in an effort to provide for her children.  Carrie lived a full & productive life and loved cooking for & spending time with her family.

She is survived by her Summersett siblings: a brother, Tommy Lee, and three sisters: Martha, Mary and Alice; her children, grands, nieces, nephews and cousins.
