Chong Chu Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea on January 21, 1951. On December 11, 2020 he was called by our Lord to rejoin his mother and father. As a young man Chong graduated from Kyung Dong High School in Seoul, South Korea. After high school Chong worked in the casino industry in Seoul, South Korea and Nairobi, Kenya. Immigrating to the United States in 1982.

Chong had numerous jobs from 1982 until 2020. The highpoint was as co-owner/operator of "Foodstuffs" a gourmet delicatessen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His latest employer was "H&M" where he was loved and will be missed.

Chong liked the game of golf and played whenever he had a chance. Throughout his life Chong was loved and supported by family and friends. Chong is survived by his sisters Ea Ja (Dong Wok), Choon (Wayne) a nephew Hyung Jun (Sui Jin) plus a host of other family members. Chong was preceded in death by his mother Han, Yoon Ye "known as Mom to everyone" and his father Kim, Keum Dong.
