Clementine O'dell Russell was born on April 5, 1940 in Tallahassee, Florida. Clementine was predeceased by her husband Wilbur Russell and mother Ethel Johnson. Clementine went home to be with the Lord on November 3, 2018. Clementine was a very spiritual guided person that made Christ first in her life.
Clem as she was often called moved to Bridgeton, New Jersey in the late 50s at the age of 15 when her mother Ethel Johnson found permanent employment at Seabrook's.
Clementine was blessed with a life full of love and her dedication, faith and trust in God. Clem was known as a loving and caring individual and happiest times were with her family. Clem was a devoted and loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many.
Clementine graduated from Bridgeton High School where she was a basketball star and was the highest scorer on the team. Clementine had numerous jobs before she later proceeded to attend and graduate from Glassboro State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology. Clem was employed by the Board of Social Services in Cumberland and Gloucester Counties for many years. Clem attended Gloucester County Community Church where she enjoyed spiritual songs that uplifted her soul in many ways.
Clementine love to be involved in organizations that helped the community. Clem was a member of Diamonds and Pearls and the Easton Stars for many years in Cumberland County.
Clementine O'dell Russell leaves a legacy of precious memories and unconditional love. Clementine leaves to cherish her loving memories with her three daughters Alicia Kates, Jacqualyne Goldsboro (Carlton), Valarie Hall (Martin), son Sheldon Oliver (Theresa), sister Dorothy Davis, twelve grandchildren Harry L. Kates Jr. Hakeem O. Kates, Carla Goldsboro, Carlton Goldsboro, Crystal Goldsboro, Marnea Hall, Marchelle Hall, Marnisha Hall, Kevin Scurry(Tiffany), Kenyatta Scurry(Shantae), Shelton Oliver III, and Shelvin Oliver and eighteen great-grands, Godson Oscar Telfair, goddaughter Celiques Carroll and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
