Courtney Randolph Warters was called home to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 88, on July 6, 2021 .
Courtney was born on February 17, 1933 in Kingston, North Carolina to the late Lucinda Tyler as an only child. Courtney grew up in Richmond, Va with his mother Lucinda and his stepdad affectionately known to the boys as "Grandpop Tyler".

Courtney worked his early years at a local textile company. In his later years he was a bartender, and did handyman work before retiring. Courtney enjoyed cooking, yard work, and talking sports with his kids which he enjoyed immensely. Courtney is predeceased by his wife Carolyn of over 50 years.

Courtney leaves to cherish in his memories, four children: Courtney (Denise) Warters, Michael (Natalie) Warters,
Mark (Sonya) Warters, and Linda (Cleveland) Poole. Courtney also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren,
along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.
