Daniel White,
Sr.
March 14, 1953 – February 1, 2022
Daniel White Sr. was born to the late Walter James White and Gussie Mae Williams White in Bridgeton N.J on March 14, 1953. He attended Bridgeton High School where he graduated in 1971. Daniel then attended Virginia Union University where he majored in Architecture. He later then married Frances Marie Cummings at Refuge Mission Baptist Church of Rosenhayn, N.J. on June 16th, 1973. Daniel later gained employment as a truck driver and then began at Salem Nuclear Plant working as a laborer where he retired from in 2008 and was an active member of Union Local 222.
Daniel and Frances were married for 47 years before he went home to be with the lord on February 1st, 2022. Daniel became a member of Union Baptist Temple at a young age and then later became a member of the Men's choir. Daniel was also a Grief Counselor, sound engineer and a Deacon. Also, he played a major part in teaching members how to operate computers.
Daniel was an avid fan of football with his favorite team being the Pittsburg Steelers. He loved reading the Bible, playing chess, traveling, preparing taxes, and repairing and working on computers. Daniel received numerous certifications from the church such as "Set For the Defense of Gospel" and the "Mayor's Certificate of Appreciation" for outstanding service in 2018.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memories his wife Frances M. White, two sons: Daniel White Jr. of Cherryhill, NJ, Walter J. White of Vineland, NJ, a daughter Jennifer L. White of Wilmington, DE, six grandchildren: Courtney D. White of Newark, DE, Shakira Harris of Bridgeton, NJ, Shadyah Harris of West Chester, PA, Cyerra White of Middletown, DE, Jada White of West Chester, PA, and Emoni Boozer of Wilmington, DE, two great grandchildren: Ava Smith age 6 and Jerimiah Henry-White age 4.
In addition, he leaves a brother John (Josephine) White of Vineland, NJ, two sisters: Thelma (Santos) Calaff of Vineland, NJ, Hannah (Kenneth) Jones of Wilmington, DE, sisters in-law: Gertrude Benjamin, Rosenhayn, NJ, Doris Sullivan of New Field, NJ, Marilyn Nobles (Alan Nobles Sr.) of Vineland, NJ, Mary (Anthony) Cirino of Buena, NJ, Willie (Alice) Dave of Orlando, Fl, aunts: Hannah Williams of Richmond, VA, Margie Murray of Rochester, NY, Gloria (Kenny) Davis of Bradenton, Fl, and Vitaree White of Dallas, TX, uncles John Williams of Vineland, NJ, Alexander Williams of Bridgeton, NJ and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
