With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Darlene Patricia Gould, who peacefully departed from this world on September 19, 2023, at the home of Sean Gould her son in Salem, NJ. She was 84 years old.

Darlene was born in Salem NJ and was beloved daughter of Norman W. Stith Sr. and Pauline B. Cuff, both of Salem, NJ. She graduated from Salem High School in 1957. She had four siblings: Norwood Cuff Sr., Irving Cuff, Norman W. Stith Jr. and Norma Campbell. Darlene was proud of her Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indian Heritage, an integral part of her family lineage.

In February 1960, Darlene married Wayne Preston Gould, a loving partnership that brought forth their cherished daughter, Anita, and three sons, Kenneth, Carless, and Sean. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Wayne, and daughter, Anita.
Her legacy extends to the many lives she touched, including 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins
Darlene was an artist by heart, but a strong-willed mother of four.  Her talents shone in the kitchen, where she delighted in cooking and baking. She showcased her creativity through sewing and crocheting, leaving behind cherished handmade treasures for her family. Above all, she was a devoted caregiver, tending to the needs of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with unwavering love.
Throughout her life, Darlene was a dedicated member of the Bethel AME Church in Woodbury, NJ, and actively participated in the church choir. She found joy in the company of others during family gatherings and church events.

Our family finds solace in knowing that Darlene has found eternal peace and is now in the loving embrace of the Lord.

Darlene Gould's memory will forever be cherished as she leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion to her family and faith.
