David Darnell Crawford, 71, passed away peacefully, November 17,
2025. He is now reunited with his loving, wife, Patty Hornes
Crawford, who preceded him in death, and together they share
eternal peace. David was born November 8,1954 in Bridgeton, NJ.
He was the son of the late Herman C. Crawford and the late Mary
Dairsow Crawford.
David was raised in Bridgeton, educated in the Bridgeton Public
School system and graduated from Bridgeton High School, class of
1973. His first employment was at Wheaton Glass Factory in
Millville, NJ. He later began his career with the New Jersey Building
Laborer's Unions, Local 222, Local 415 and Local 77 where he
retired after 35 years of service. After retirement, he started a
successful business, Just A Personal Touch, LLC. which he had for
multiple years, where he took pride in ensuring everything was done
with class.
David was a Deacon at Bridgeton Church of God, with his departed
wife, Patty, where they were faithful members. David was a
member of Iconic Lodge #40 F & AM Prince Hall Affiliation and was
also united with Ionic Chapter #15 of Oziel Grand Chapter Order of
the Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliation NJ.
David is survived by three sons, David Parrish of Hawaii, Herman
Hoover (Michelle) of Millville, Christopher Ferguson and a daughter,
Danielle Hornes of Bridgeton. god-brother, Larry Jordan, god-sister,
Ida Ridgeway, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his loving
wife Patty Hornes Crawford, who affectionately called him (Hoss)
and his son, Adam A. Hickman.
He and Patty truly loved their Family, which included their faithful,
loving dog, Roxy. He enjoyed cooking, spending time traveling,
camping, and riding his Harley Davidson up and down the Eastern
seaboard . David was a faithful and active member of Church of
God, where he was a Deacon, under the direction of Bishop Aaron
Parrish
