Millville, NJ
Born January 22, 1962, in Somers Point, New Jersey, David E. Kiley passed away peacefully at his home in Millville on October 30, 2026, following a brave and resilient battle with cancer. His journey, marked by courage and grace, was an inspiration to all who knew him.
David was preceded in death by his father, James Kiley; his beloved mother, Joyce Wiegand; his sister, Joyce, and her husband, Lin Marshall; as well as several longtime friends, Ronnie, John, and Dave.
David was known for his quick wit, strong personality, and unmistakable individuality. He had an insatiable passion for music, especially the works of David Bowie, a love he happily shared with those around him. He was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, an avid crossword puzzle and Scrabble enthusiast, and thoroughly enjoyed watching the excitement of NASCAR racing.
Above all else, David's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He often said that his three children were "the best things he ever did in life," a sentiment that reflected just how much they meant to him.
He is survived by his brothers, Jim (Carol) and Mike Kiley; his stepfather, William (Pop) Wiegand; his children, Heather (Nathan) Souders, Rachael (Chris) Harris, and Andrew Kiley; and his cherished grandchildren, Nanate, Lily, Zachary, Jaxon, and Mallory, who brought him endless joy and pride. He also leaves behind countless close friends, near and far, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
David's life, though not without its challenges, was filled with love, laughter, and moments that will never be forgotten. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be remembered for his individuality, quick wit, sense of humor, generous heart, and the countless memories he leaves behind.
David will forever be loved, deeply missed, and held in our hearts.
In accordance with his wishes, a private celebration of life will be held to honor his memory.
"Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
