Debra Carter passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023, at Inspira Healthcare in Vineland, NJ at the age of 63. Debra, (Debbie, as she was affectionately known), was born March 26, 1960 in Cedarville, NJ to James and Hattie Burden. She received her education in the Bridgeton School District. Debra was raised in Bridgeton where she lived for the past 60+ years.

Debra was a great cook and worked in food service for 20+ years. Most of those years were spent working for Rainbow Nursing Center. She had a wonderful spirit and was always the life of the party. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, dancing and spending time with her family.

Debra leaves to cherish her memories her only son: James Carter, grandson: Stephen McCrae, parents: James and Hattie Burden, one sister: Patricia Alston, special Aunts: Bonnie Carter and Barbara Jean Lee, a host of niece, nephews and cousins. Also, her favorite little girl: Ra'niyah Palmer. She was predeceased by her late husband Alvin Stubbs.
