Debbie, fondly known as "Deb" "a fun loving, happy and vivacious lady, dedicated mom, wife, daughter, sister, God-Mother, aunt, cousin and friend. Deb's impeccable smile could light up a room, as it was contagious. Debbie always had a quick comeback with words that could leave you speechless. The legacy of Deb's kind spirit, zest for life, love for traveling with family will forever be alive. Debbie was known and adored by so many people in the community.


Debra Ann Coleman-Bowick, 58 transitioned on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at home, surrounded by her family. Debbie was born September 28, 1960 in Salem, NJ to James Silas Coleman, Sr and Christine M. Morris-Coleman. Debbie grew up in Salem, NJ and attended Salem City Public Schools. She graduated from Salem High School in 1979 and started her career with Acme Markets in 1980, where she remained a dedicated worker until her illness. As a child Debbie attended Mt. Hope Church, Salem, NJ. Around the mid 90's she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined St. Matthew Baptist Church, Williamstown, NJ. Debbie loved the Lord! She recently stated, "I want to rededicate my life to Christ, and she was so happy."


Debbie lived in Salem, NJ for 57 years, and recently moved to New Castle, DE. She was known for her love of the Dallas Cowboys and for Prince! She was a die-hard fan, win or lose. Her voice could be heard loud during game times, and she did not mince her words. Deb's passion for Prince's music was no secret as well, she "Truly Adored" him.


On November 22, 1995, Debbie experienced a new love for life, when her son Coslough Tre' was born. Coslough was her "Bud" and her heart….Deb married her long-time love and father of their son, Leroy Bowick on August 31, 2018.


Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, Leroy, son, Coslough Tre' Bowick of New Castle, DE, step-daughter, Tarrah Leigh Bowick of Bridgeton, NJ, parents, James and Christine Coleman of Salem, three brothers, James Coleman (Cheryl), Ronald Coleman (Edie) of New Jersey and Kevin Coleman (Julie) of Charleston, SC, four sisters Elaine Gibson (Eddie) of Salem, NJ, Gloria Wallace of Phil, PA, Helen Divens (Gary) of Swedesboro, NJ and Pearl (Lynn) Coleman of Mullica Hill, NJ. An adopted sister and friend, Carol Watkins (Tom) of Pennsville, NJ. Two brothers-in-law, Herman Bowick (Honey), Sherman Bowick (Ann) of New Castle, Delaware, four sisters-in-law Carmen Bowick of Belvidere, IL, Odell Bowick, Debbie Bowick (Eddie) of Woodstown, NJ and Joann Bowick of Salem, NJ. Two God-Sons, Austin Wallace of Philadelphia, PA and Jeremy Cline of Hi-Point, North Carolina, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends.


Debbie was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Jean Coleman and Denise Marsha Skinner.
