September 8, 1946 – December 30, 2019
Saint Diane Handley was born in Niagara Falls, New York on September 9,1946. Diane was raised in Hammonton, New Jersey. St Handley attended Hammonton Public Schools, Hammonton, New Jersey. After High School graduation, St Handley began her career working at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital, Camden County, New Jersey. As a result of her hard work, knowledge and dedication, Diane was offered and accepted a position at Brook Glen Behavior Hospital, Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. St Handley remained there 49 years.
Saint Handley was a lifelong member of the United House of Prayer. She was blessed to receive the Holy Ghost and Fire under Precious Daddy McCullough. Saint Handley is a member of the Ushers (Currently Bailey Ushers). While she held several positions, and served in many capacities, Saint Handley primary responsibility in the House of Prayer was her role as General Secretary, Germantown, PA. Saint Handley served in this role for 39 years.
On August 9,2019, Precious Daddy Bailey retired St Handley with Great Honors. Daddy Bailey told her if she could, she would continue to do great work, but her body would not allow her. Daddy Bailey said he was with her and continue to be with her. St Handley also received a Perfect Secretary Record for the year and received her certificate and gift from Precious Daddy Bailey.
Saint Handley cherished her job as the General Secretary in the House of Prayer. Despite using a walker and having a partially paralyzed leg, Saint Handley displayed her dedication by attending services nightly, she pressed her way during in inclement weather, utilizing public transportation between Philadelphia Pa and Vineland daily. This commute often took 3-4 hours but Saint Handley was committed to the Lord and her works in the House of Prayer. She made this commute for several years until the Lord blessed her with a vehicle. She continued to come back and forth across the bridge to serve the lord and fulfil her duties in the House of Prayer. Saint Handley loved the Sweet House of Prayer. Saint Handley was a faithful member, tithes payer and a G Class worker. She will truly be missed but not forgotten.
Saint Handley was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. St Handley was such a source of knowledge and constantly provided advice to all. Not only was she a phenomenal source of life experiences, she had a great sense of humor. You could always count on her to make you laugh. Saint Handley didn't mind speaking her mind. Saint Handley loved doing puzzles, listening to music and traveling.
Saint Handley was preceded in death by her mother Sis Henrietta Williams Flack; her father David Handley; her daughter Norine Bembry; her sisters, Debora Handley and Evelyn Handley; her bother Dave Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories. One son Johnny Bee Bembry Jr, Philadelphia Pa; Four brothers: James Wellington, Pittsburg Pa; David, Frankie and Donald Handley, Niagara Falls, NY; Five sisters: Mary Handley, Niagara Falls, NY: Jacqueline Handley Chesapeake VA; Gwendolyn Handley and Georgette Scott (Tyrone) Millville NJ, Justina Flack Egg Harbor Township NJ; 3 Aunts: Sis Martha Minson and St Grace Williams, Philadelphia PA, Sis Doris Jenkins, Durham NC; 2 Uncles: Bro Joe Williams (Doris) Durham NC, Bro Johnny Williams Coatesville, PA; 1 God Daughter Mariam Echeverria; Special friends: Sister Nneka Kirkland and Deacon Tim Jackson; 2 grandchildren: 4 Great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
