He was born to the late Rev. James and Florine Taylor in Logan County, West Virginia.

Don was a devoted man who cherished his family. He would frequent Dorney Park and always included his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews to join him for a day of fun! He also loved to cut a rug on Thursday nights at Adelphia with his loved ones. Don happily attended every family event he was invited to and the family always enjoyed his jovial spirit. Don made a point of visiting family members near and far, especially the elders. Don quoted Psalm 90:10 to his daughter Melinda during his final hours as appreciation for his longevity.

He was a dear and reliable friend to many and enjoyed going out to lunch with the group named ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) with his lifelong friends Willie, Jerry, Herbie, Kenny and Bill. Dons' other close friends were Danny Lee and Russell along with his faithful neighbor, Bill Weeks.
Don was pre-deceased by his loving wife Maryann Taylor who was his sweetheart.
