Douglas Edward Green also known as Doug or Dougie was born in Bridgeton,NJ to Lula M. Green on June 24th, 1960 and was the eldest of 6 siblings. Douglas graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1976 at 16 years old. He joined the army that same year where he enlisted for many tours and served for 10 years. While in the army Dougie became a hand grenade expert as well as a rifle marksman and later became trained as a medic. Doug later told his wife and daughter that Germany was his favorite place to live.

In 1992, Doug married Debra A. Hill and they stayed married until the time of his passing in 2023. Douglas was formerly employed at Claridge Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey as a blackjack dealer as well as at Vineland High School as a security guard. While working at the high school, "Mr. Green,as they called him, impacted the lives of many of the children by ministering God's word and trying to help them with their everyday struggles.

Dougie loved attending church with his wife and daughter and became a member of Victory In Christ Ministry formerly known as Church of God in Christ in Fairton where he was under the direction and leadership of Apostle Mary L. Woods. In 2004, Dougie fell very ill and battled with his illness throughout the years until his untimely passing.

Douglas was predeceased in death by his mother, Lula M. Green, father in law, Charles Bing, sister, Yvette Lawson, brothers, Frederick, Steven, and David Green, as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Douglas leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 30 years Debbie Green, his only daughter Taylor S. Green and his only grandson Graysen Taylor. He leaves behind brothers Charles Ramsey and Michael Green many nieces and nephews including Patrina Lawson, Crystal Allen, Tanya Willis and Odessa Wilkes. Douglas also leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles including Joe Green, Margaret Brown, Roberta Green, Mattie Carr, Frank Carr, Yvonne Harris and Anna Green.
