Edna
Mallory
March 11, 1935 – May 28, 2025
Edna McFarland Mallory was born on March 11, 1935 in McBee, South Carolina to the late Vander and Laura Bell (Blackwell) McFarland. She entered into eternal rest at home on May 28, 2025.
In December 1946, Edna moved to Mizpah, NJ with her family at the age of 11. She attended the Egg Harbor School system. In 1952, she married Albert Mallory and they moved to Richland, NJ. To this union, nine children were born. Edna worked in the sewing industry for many years. She then worked in the Buena Regional School District as a custodian. She retired in 2017 at the age of 82.
Edna was a faithful member of St. John A.M.E. Zion Church where she served on The Usher Board, The Steward Board, Missionary Board and Lay Council. She was also the treasurer of the Travel Ministry. Edna served as the Pastor Steward under the Late Reverend Claude L. Rozier until his retirement. She loved her church and her church family.
Edna was Predeceased by her husband Albert, daughter Stacie, three sons Albert Jr, James and one known only to God, one granddaughter Brianna, one great granddaughter Alexandria, one great grandson Jonathan, three sisters Margaret, Retha and Loretta, and two brothers Calvin and William.
Edna leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Delma (Althea) Maxwell (Clyde), Laura (Rochelle) Mallory, Karen Riggins, Sandra Hudson (James), one son Bruce (Barbara), one brother Vander, two sister-in laws Maria and Christine, one bonus son Herman (Dwayne) Woods, 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
