Edward Theodore Harvard was born to Dora Thompson Harvard and Theodore Harvard in Vienna Georgia on January 5, 1945. The family later moved to Weirton, West Virginia.
Edward gave his life to Christ at a very early age where he attended Sunday school and loved serving the Lord. This continued in to his adult life.
Edward loved learning and athletics. Edward attended Weir Jr. and Sr. High School after graduating from High School and winning the state basketball championship.
He received a four year athletic Scholarship to play division 1 basketball at West Virginia University where he graduated with a degree in Physical Education. After graduating he accepted a teaching position in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He later went on to receive his Masters Degree from Glassboro State.
After several years he moved to Vineland, New Jersey. He became the coach of the Vineland High School Boys basketball team and later Vice Principal at Vineland Senior High School.
Edward married Jacqueline Long on August 14, 1974 to this union was born Edward Joseph Harvard. Edward is preceded by Jacqueline his wife and a sister Runa. He is survived by his son Edward J. Harvard, grandkids Christian and Emery, brothers and sisters, Noel, Emmett, Joyce, and Virginia, and one sister in law Gail Long, nieces, nephews, cousins, and host of friends.
