Elder Harrie
A Boyd
March 9, 1960 – December 10, 2022
Harrie Anthony Boyd was born March 9, 1960, to Evelyn and William Boyd in Lakewood NJ.
He was a 1978 graduate of Lakewood High School. He was a great basketball player in High School. Harrie was an avid sports fan, especially of the NY Giants. Shortly after graduation Harrie joined the Army of which he received an honorable discharge. After leaving the Army, Harrie began coaching his sons in Biddy Basketball League. He was truly a family man. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Harrie moved to Bridgeton, NJ where he would soon meet and married the love of his life, Lavetra Boyd. It is also when he began his love walk with Christ. At that time Harrie and Lavetra were both members of Crusaders for Christ under the leadership of the late Apostle Thelma Riley Malone who also married the two in 2004. Harrie worked in the medical field for many years before starting his lifelong career at Durand Glass. He worked his way up the ladder at Durand Glass where he would become a supervisor. Harrie truly was a hardworking man. But it was nothing he loved more, than working for the kingdom of God. He let his light shine wherever he went and made sure he mentioned Jesus to anyone who would listen. He was loved by all who really knew and got to know him. He was truly a gentle giant with a great sense of humor! Just hearing his infectious laugh, would make you laugh. Harrie loved the Lord with all his heart! He and his wife both became members of Tabernacle of Deliverance Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Edith Burgess where he served faithfully and would become an Elder. Elder Boyd then continued his kingdom journey serving alongside his wife Pastor Lavetra Boyd of Love Alive Ministries Inc, while remaining in fellowship with all who served the Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lavetra Boyd; sons, Dyquan Randolph of Toms River, Tyrone Anthony Colleton of Browns Mills, NJ and Dashaun Randolph of Bricktown, NJ; daughters, Shraye Colleton of Toms River and Taleah Robinson of Bridgeton, NJ; stepdaughter, Nashima Hartsfield of Sicklerville, NJ; two bonus sons, Omar Randolph and Leron Randolph; grandchildren, Nylah Randolph, Dashaun Randolph Jr., Tyrel Hannah, Tyra Hannah, Makayla Robinson; great grandchildren, Ma'Leah Wood, Maya Lugo and Elijah Lugo; his father, William Boyd; brothers, Christopher Boyd of Virginia and Derell Boyd of Lakehurst, NJ; sisters, Trina Boyd of Manchester and Elaine Clark of Lakehurst, NJ; uncles, Hayward Miller and Jerome Durham; aunt, Beatrice Gauff; nephews, Tyreke Walker, Isaac Devries, Malachi Boyd and Everly Boyd; niece, Latoya Walker and a host of family and friends.
