Eloise Cannon's Obituary

Mother Eloise Cannon was born on July 17, 1932, in Enterprise, Ala. to the late Robert J. Hooks and Hattie Lousia Hooks.

Mother Cannon relocated to New Jersey in the early 1950"s. She married her husband Leon R. Cannon. She transitioned on July 1, 2024 while a resident at Autumn Lake Health care in Vineland NJ after a brief illness.

Mother Cannon was educated in the Coffee County, Ala school system. She attended the local college for some time. She was employed at Level Acre Farms for several. She did also worked at Ritters in Bridgeton. Eloise retired from Vineland State School. She was a member of Second Pilgrim Baptist Church in Cedarville, NJ. Mother Cannon later joined the City of Refuge in Bridgeton under the leadership of Pastor Darnell Barnes.

Mother Cannon was preceded in death by her husband Leon Cannon, her mother Hattie Lousia Hooks, her sister Grace Thomas, Lucille Coles, and brother Robert Hooks, her daughters Catherine and Hortense, her sons Leon, Eddie and Edward.

Mother Cannon is survived by her sons Larry Cannon(Kim), Dr. Gust D. Davis Jr. and daughters Bernice Johnson, Donna (Kevin) Norman, Carolyn Cannon Brantly (Albert), 21 grand children, 21 great grand children, and 1 great great child. Eloise has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
