Estelle
Loatman
June 3, 1969 – August 15, 2022
Our beloved Estell Reese Loatman, age 53, departed this life on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 4:25am in Cooper Medical Center.
Estell was born on June 3, 1969 to William Daniel Reese and Martha J (Smith) Reese in Vineland, NJ. Stell, as she was lovingly called, attended the Pittsgrove Township School District. She worked various jobs from home healthcare to the fast-food industry.
When Stell was younger, she became a member of Fre Tye Chapel Seventh Day Church of Christ in Norma, NJ. There, she was a member of the young adult choir and served on the usher board. She later became a frequent visitor of the Light of Truth Seventh Day Church of Christ in Philadelphia, PA. There, she would always help out in any way she could. Stell loved the members and they most definitely loved her too.
One of Stell's greatest accomplishments was giving birth to her one and only son, Ty'ree Reaves. She fondly called him her "boy child" or "Sonshine". On August 6, 2004, Stell married the love of her life, Thomas Loatman. They loved each other and enjoyed doing things together. They especially loved fishing, cooking, and having family gatherings.
One of most important things to Stell was her family. She enjoyed time spent with her family, every chance she could. Stell especially loved hanging out at her niece Crystal's house. It was never a dull moment.
Estell leaves her loving family to cherish her memory: her husband Thomas; son Ty'ree; mother, Martha; brother, Gary Smith; two nieces: Diana and Crystal Reese; two nephews: Andrew and Adrian (Kristina) Reese; two stepchildren: Jamal Loatman and Dequanna Mills; six grandchildren; and nine great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lela Williams; her father, William; sister Christine Reese; Uncles Curtis Smith and Alex Williams; and her aunt Martha Williams.
She is also survived by her goddaughter, Jordynn Reese Baldwin, who held a special place in her heart, many god sisters, and a host of extended family and friends.
Estelle had a humble spirit and a passion for helping others. She was a mother, sister, aunt, and friends. Her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and heart of gold will be truly missed.
