Eugene Haggins, Jr. was born November 7, 1938, in Fort
Pierce, Florida, and was raised in Bridgeton, NJ.

Eugene relocated to Clermont, NJ after he married Dora
(Goar) Haggins in July 1982. Together they have three
daughters and one granddaughter, Renee Burden
(daughter)Brenda Pierce (daughter) and Paris
Wiggins(daughter), and Nicole Burden (granddaughter).

Eugene Haggins, after graduating from Bridgeton High
School he enlisted into the United States Army. He was
honorable discharged in 1967. Eugene retired from
Manishewitz Food Company located in Vineland in 2000,
after 43 years as a production supervisor.
Eugene worked with the Lively Funeral Home in Bridgeton,
with good friend and Funeral Director Dennis Bundy.
Eugene was also a familiar face at the Cape May County
Court House as a volunteer greeter from 2007 through 2010.In April 2010 Eugene received the Volunteer Recognition
Award for his outstanding public service.

Eugene came to the Lord at an early age in Bridgeton, NJ.
He joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership
of the late Bishop William L. McClurkin.
Deacon Haggins would later hold the Chairman of Deacon
Ministry Office for fifteen years. He continued to hold the
Office of Deacon at Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the new
Pastor Rev. Dr. James Hatch, Sr.
Deacon Haggins enjoyed spending time with family and
friends, and helping others. He had a loving heart and was
always ready to help others in their time of need.

Eugene Haggins will be missed sorely, but never forgotten,
and leaves behind to cherish his memories a wife Dora, three
daughters and sister Sarah A. Smith, along with a host of
nieces and nephews.
