Faithia Higgins-Hibbert was born on February 3, 1961 in Kingston, Jamaica to loving parents Kenneth Higgins and Roslyn Roach (Thompson).
Faithia attended Chetolah Park Primary School and also Kingston Secondary School in Kingston. After her mother migrated to America, Faithia took on the job of caring for her three younger siblings and her daughter Marsharee.
In 1985 Faithia migrated to Chicago, Illinois to join her mother. She attended Truman College in Chicago where she pursued a career in the nursing field and on completion, worked at MidAmerica Nursing Home for several years. In 1991 she relocated to Vineland, New Jersey, where she continued working in the nursing field and worked at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home from 1992 until she retired. She was dedicated to her work and was well loved by her coleagues.
In 1996 she met her husband Donald Hibbert and later married in 2001. They were lovingly married for 23 years.
Faithia was known for being a fashionista and always looked immaculate when she left her house. She was a person with a kind heart who always went out of her way to help others. She was well loved by her family and friends. One of Faithia's pride and joy was caring for her two grandchildren whom she loved very much. She was active in their lives and would often attend their events. Faithia loved to drive and anywhere you want to go, she would be willing to take you. She was an active member in her church which she attended with her husband whenever possible.
Faithia leaves behind her loving husband, Donald Hibbert ; Her mother Roslyn, daughters, Marsharee and Monique; son-in-law Kirkland; sisters, Donna and Annette; brothers, Marvin and Dave; 2 grandchildren, Christian and Alexander, 5 nieces, 2 nephews and a grandniece.
