Frank Battle was born October 31, 1937, to the late Willie and Mamie Battle in Davisboro, GA. He departed this life on July 5, 2026 at home surrounded by his wife and sister. He was one of twelve children, and he attended schools in Georgia and Florida.

Frank drove for many different trucking companies for over 40 years; RDS, Bradway, Brago and Cheeseman. He loved those 18 wheelers. He also worked at the Claridge Casino until he retired. He loved country and gospel music. His favorite gospel singers were the Williams Brothers. Frank attended Sunday School faithfully and enjoyed it and he was Trustee Emeritus. He loved the Lord and was a member of Union Baptist Temple for over 30 years under the leadership of Pastor Albert Morgan.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years Shirley (Freeman) Battle, children Angie Battle, Ricky Battle, stepchildren and children; Vernon Lee (Queen), Cynthia Mosley Martin (Shane), Sharon Lee, Sabrina Mosley, Elroy Lee, Richard Mosley Sr. (Christine), Henrietta Thompson (Duane), Fred Mosley, bonus children; Ramante, Richard (Trey), Deja Mosley, three sisters; Ammie Battle of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Ervenia Villanueva (Carlos) of St. Lucie County, Florida, Theresa Battle of Boynton Beach, FL, two brothers; James Battle (Lillian) of Crystal Springs, FL, Johnnie Lee Battle of Boynton, Florida and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his son Frank Lee, grandson Davonte Lee, brothers-in-law Major and Adrian Lindsey, three brothers; Billy, Garner, Hollis Battle, three sisters; Mary, Charlotte (Robert Lewis), Jeannie, and great nephew Jamar Byrd Jr
