Frank A. Lee, Sr.'s Obituary

Frank Alan Lee was born June 30, 1968, to the late Anna Marie Lee-Battle and Frank Battle in Bridgeton, NJ.  Hype, as he was known, was very popular having attended both Bridgeton and Cumberland Regional public schools.  He also played in the Bridgeton Midget Football league.

Frank's personality matched each nickname he was known by, Hypie Hype, Diggidy, King Lee, Numsie and affectionately called "Fat Boy" by his big sis. To know him was to love him. Frank was the life of any party with the biggest smile, loudest laugh and Hypist energy but don't let the big smile fool you as Frank was definitely King of the jungle. His favorite past times were fishing, shooting pool, playing spades, cooking on the grill, and cracking jokes on anyone that he encountered.

Following in his father's footsteps, Frank graduated from Braggs Trucking School and drove 18 wheelers. He was a jack of all trades and loved working with his hands. He worked for many years at Wheaton Glass, Goldberg Properties before joining So. Jersey Hospital's Mental Health Division. Frank could do anything from auto repair, electrical wiring, carpentry, flooring, construction and more. His children laugh about how he taught them to put up sheetrock, hang vinyl siding, lay hardwood floors, and change the oil in their cars.

Frank had a way with kids. Mainly because he was a big kid at heart. He loved his children; was adored by his grands and bonded with the children he coached through the Fairfield township Recreational and Basketball Leagues.

Frank was the cool uncle, the goofy brother, the truest friend, and the protector of all who he loved. He instilled the "hustle" mentality in each of his children giving them two options. "Go to school or go to work" LOL.

Frank was predeceased by his mother, Anna Marie Lee-Battle, daughter Ny'esha Lee, son De'Vante Lee and one brother-in-law Pierre Strickland.

He leaves to cherish his memories seven children, Genea Hughes-Lee, Frank Allen Lee Jr., Shakeria Still, Cierra Clark, Da'Quan Lee, Sebastian Bennett, bonus daughter Desiree Ellis. His siblings Vernon (Queenester) Lee, Evelyn (Pierre) Strickland, Elroy Lee, Angeleaque Battle, Ricky Battle, and bonus sister/ace Lernell (Michael) Williams, one God daughter Chanitielle Harris, ten grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too great to name.
