Gayle Louise Webb was born on August 14, 1947 to George and Beatrice (Phillips) George.
Gayle graduated from Vineland High School in 1965. She went on to Glassboro State College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1969.
Gayle married her high school sweetheart, John Robert Webb in 1969. Together they had two children, Jennifer (husband Anthony) and Michael (wife Denise). Gayle was a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren (Thomas, Alise and Makai).
Gayle became a teacher and taught in the Bridgeton City School District for 35 years. Gayle was well loved by her students and taught for so long that she taught a few of the grandchildren of her oldest students. Many students recalled that Gayle treated her students with care and compassion making them all feel special and valued.
Gayle was a life long, avid reader. During her youth, she was a member of the Little Theatre of Vineland where she worked on costume design. She loved to sew making many of her own clothes and prom dresses for her daughter. She also enjoyed singing in the local community college choir. During retirement, she loved to go out with friends and visit her favorite diners.
Gayle was predeceased by her parents, husband and two sisters (Ellyn and Julie). In addition to her children, she leaves to cherish her memory her sister Michal Dorman (husband Bud), her sister in law Mary Frances Kollock, sister in law Paula Webb-Cheeks (husband Bernard), brother in law Brian Webb, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and many good friends including her close friend Cathy Rogers.
