George "Callie", "Hat" Sampson of Woodbury, New Jersey formerly of Los Angeles, California entered into God's eternal rest December 24, 2018 at Cooper Hospital University Medical Center, Camden, New Jersey with family at his bedside.

He was predeceased by his parents, Reuben and Elizabeth Sampson; son Calvin "Brent" Sampson; brothers, Sylvester, Russell,
Stephen and Robert Sampson and sister, Anna (Earnest) Sturdivant.

He received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at North Baptist Church by the late Pastor David Forman.

He leaves to cherish memories of blessed times together: daughter; Heidi Spence: grandchildren: Anaya and Josiah Spence; Stepson: Darrin and step granddaughter Shaina Kersey; former spouse, Brenda Jones; brothers: T. Phillip. Thomas and Frank Sampson: sisters: Phyllis (Aldrich) Gaines and Edythe (Tyrone) Small; brother in laws; Linwood (Christine). Wayne (Sarah) and Vern Jones: sister in law: Yvonne Pierre; special nephew, Charles Sampson adopted families: the Hendricks and Claypools, friends in the Chester Washington Men's Club, special friends James and "Kingpin" and a host of in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
