George Nash Pitts was born to the late Ben and Pearl Brooks Pitts on August 26, 1933, in Warrenton, Georgia. He departed this life on August 31, 2021.

George received his education at Warrenton County Public School System. He worked in Construction, Martin Dye, Griffin, Mernock, Seabrooks, and Iron Foundary.

He leaves to mourn his wife Ida Pitts, three daughters: George Ann Crawford, Annette Allen, and Grace Pitts, one son Lewis Pitts of Bridgeton, NJ, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by six brothers: Willie M. Pitts, Willie B. Pitts, Milton Pitts, Austin Pitts, Robert Pitts and Charles Pitts, seven sisters: Mae Rosie Hudson, Annie Pearl Pitts, Viola Johnson, Mamie Hall, Helen Turman, Lucy Turman and Beatrice Wharton. Additionally, he was predeceased by one son Eddie Milton Pitts, grandson Braheem Harris Pitts and granddaughter Quasjee Harris.
