Gertrude W. Denby, daughter of the late Beatrice H. (Winchester) and Ivory W. Carter, Sr. and widow of William R. Denby, departed this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 while a resident of Bishop McCarthy Center Vineland, NJ.

Mrs. Denby was born in Cedarville, NJ August 21, 1924 and has been an area resident all her life. She was a seamstress, having been employed by the former Crown Clothing of Vineland.

She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers and their wives; Robert and Minnie Carter and Sharpie and Doreen Carter, two grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son, siblings; Mary Lewis, Beatrice Parker, Hazel Moore, Francis Gross, Octavia, Roland, Ivory and Arthur Carter.
