Gladys M. Nichols age 94 entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2024. Born in Accomack VA, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Idella Johnson.

Gladys relocated with her family to Port Norris at the age of seven and attended Brown School.

Gladys worked in various oyster houses, Gordon's Seafood and for a brief time at the Vineland Development Center. She loved sports and was an avid Phillies fan!

Loving the Lord, Gladys joined the John Wesley Church in Port Norris in the 70's and enjoyed singing on the Mass Choir. In 2013, she transferred her membership to Bethel Pentecostal closer to her.

Gladys leaves one son, Lester Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a large church family to cherish her memory. She was pre-deceased by her husband Charlie Nichols; a son, Frederick Johnson; sisters: Lillie Chadwick, Sarah Allen and Mabel Allen and brothers: Leon Johnson, Freddie Johnson, Ernest Bell, Pastor Harmon Holden and Alfred Williams.

She will be missed and is somewhere around the throne at rest singing "I am free !
