Gloria (Waters) LaSure, 84 of Deltona, Fla., formerly of Vineland, passed away suddenly at home on December 16, 2019. She was educated in Philadelphia public schools. Gloria loved to sew, and for many years she was employed as a seamstress. She made many special occasion clothing, i.e., wedding and prom gowns, Easter coats and dresses for her children, as well as casual outfits for herself and others. She was also passionate about crocheting. She crocheted layettes and blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Co-workers, friends, and neighbors admired her work, and she filled special orders for their families.

In 1983 after thirty-two years away from school, Gloria received her GED, then graduated from the nursing program at Gloucester County Vo-Tech in 1984. She was employed as a LPN at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital, in Winslow Township, until she became disabled in 1995. She would often reflect back that the Lord ordered her steps by leading her to finish school, become a nurse, and enabled her to work just long enough to receive a pension, so she could support herself and not place a financial strain on her children.

Gloria loved her Lord and Savior. Throughout twenty-four years of ups and downs on dialysis and other health issues, Gloria never wavered in her faith in God and would not hesitate to praise and thank Him for His blessings.

Gloria is survived by five daughters, Caroline Reed of Westville, NJ, Gloria (Jerry) Fields of Vineland, NJ, Crystal Bunting of Deptford, NJ, Angela (Diogenes) Elizondo of Deltona, FL, and MaryAnn LaSure (fiancée William Vasquez) of Orlando, FL; three sons, Richard Wilmore of Atlantic City, NJ, Andre` (Michelle) LaSure of Charlotte, NC, and Alfred J. (Bernice) LaSure of Jacksonville, FL, a spiritual son, Maral (Tiffany) Mallory of Sicklerville, NJ; six sisters, Yolanda Nelson of Penns Grove, NJ, Darlene Washington of Philadelphia, PA, Patricia (Charles) Parker of Clayton, NC, Delores Jones and Harriet Wilmore of Sicklerville, NJ, and Cheryl Wilmore of Vineland, NJ; three brothers, Armand (Darlene) Waters of Albany, GA, Clifton (Dorinda) Waters of Sicklerville, NJ, and Tommy Wilmore of Vineland, NJ; 30 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ida Waters and Walter "Buddy" Wilmore; husband, Alfred LaSure; son, Felix Waters; siblings, Jean Wynder, Delores Langley, Jesstine Holland, Eloise Artis, Althea Andrews, Franklin and Jeffrey Jenkins, Levin, Kermit, and Harold Waters, David and Melvin Wilmore, and Michael and Maurice Gravely.
