Gwen graduated from Bridgeton High School, Class of 1970, where she was a member of Mr. Gould's Glee Club. In 1985, she earned an associate degree in Sociology from Cumberland County College.
Gwen was employed by the Bridgeton Public School system before she retired in 2011, after 23 years of dedicated service. Gwen was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church, Cedarville, NJ for over 40 years. She sang on the choir, served on the Pastor's Aide Committee and was an active member of "Women of Hope Ministry" in addition to the Prison and Nursing Home Ministries for more than 20 years. Gwen took great pride in being a servant in the house of the Lord.
