HARTLEY JAMES PERNELL, JR of Gouldtown, Fairfield NJ, was the third precious baby born to the late Hartley James Pernell, Sr., and Catherine (nee Martin) Pernell on December 11, 1963.

Hartley graduated from Cumberland Regional High School in 1982. While attending High School, Hartley was a member of the football team 'The Colts'. Hartley was known as "Hard Rock #22".  Hartley worked various jobs in his lifetime, but his favorite job was being one of the greatest Barbeque Pitmasters in the world. Hartley had such a passion for cooking and prepared all his meals with love. Hartley enjoyed playing his guitar and harmonica, singing on his karaoke microphone while blasting his music, loved bowling, and enjoying the warmth of a bonfire. Hartley "SILVER FOX" was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved his team BUT had a greater and stronger love for his family.

Hartley's life was suddenly ended Sunday evening December 10, 2023, due to an automobile accident approximately two hours before his sixtieth birthday.

He was preceded in death by his father Elder Hartley James Pernell, Sr.

Hartley leaves to cherish his memory, his beautiful loving mother Elder Catherine Pernell. Former wife Pam Evans Pernell His daughter, Brooke (Darnell) Brock. His sons: Hartley
