Jacqueline Denise
Timmons
September 29, 1972 – May 8, 2020
Jacqueline Denise Timmons, 47, passed away on the 8
th
of May 2020 at Sarmatian Hospice Center in Voorhees, NJ. She was born at Bridgeton Hospital on September 29, 1972 to Abdee McNair and Holly Leone-Stephenson. She spent her early childhood between New Jersey and North Carolina with her grandmother Elnora Stephenson. She graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1990 where she met and later married her high school sweetheart. Jacqueline and Romane Timmons were married April 10, 1994. They shared a special bond and loved each other very much. Romane then joined the U.S. Air Force and he and Jacqueline left to travel the world together. Together they visited 4 countries, 35 states, and 2 U.S. territories. Jacqueline and Romane were together for 31 years and married for 26. She was a phenomenal mother and often referred to her children as her biggest accomplishments. Jacqueline and Romane had two children, Shania Timmons-Lewis (23) and Myles Timmons (18). Jackie's dedication to raising her children left them with so much wisdom and knowledge.
Jackie was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on October 31st, 2013. After winning that fight with cancer in November 2015, she later suffered a reoccurrence of stage 4 breast cancer on July 18
th
, 2016. Throughout her fight with breast cancer, Jackie never lost her faith or hope in God. Despite her own illness she uplifted others in their personal battles. A lot of her perseverance came from her amazing oncology team at Penn Medicine in Washington Twp., and from her cousin Sandra James who took her to many of her appointments. She would always leave chemotherapy with a smile on her face because of them.
Jacqueline was employed by the U.S. Air Force childcare services as a childcare provider for 10 years. She was the spiritual leader of her family and often ministered God's word to military spouses and their children. Jackie was a lover of life and her hobbies included; organizing charity cancer walks, gardening, avidly reading, and creating door wreaths and diaper cakes for military families. Her likeness was used as inspiration for a lead super heroine character in a book authored by Jon Howard, but her real superpower was her ability to love people unconditionally everywhere she went. She touched so many lives from coast to coast and around the world. To anyone grieving, I say to you, next time you feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, remember her touch and her hugs, next time you hear a gospel choir, remember her voice and her laugh, next time you see a beautiful flower, remember her smile. Jacqueline's legacy will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to be in her presence.
Jacqueline is survived by her loving husband and soulmate of 21 years, Romane, her 2 children, daughter, Shania (Jordan)Lewis and son Myles. Mother, Leone (Scotty)Holley, Sisters, Danna and Jennifer Bailey, Father in Law, Jimmy Kapers, Sisters in Law, Cheara Timmons and Tiffney Woods, Brother in laws, Kenyatta Timmons, Donald Mosley, Richard Hicks and Jimitric Kapers. She will also be lovingly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
