Jair Amir
Rennie
August 12, 1996 – July 20, 2019
Jair Amir Rennie, was born on August 12, 1996 in Jamaica to parents Heather Stewart and Gladstone (Earl) Rennie. He was the youngest of his siblings; brothers - Carlos Rennie (Chris – deceased), Lenard Rennie (Kemar), Andre Henry, Corey Smith, and sister, Raxone Rennie. Nephews; ShaCorey Smith and Lenardo Rennie, and niece AndreNeike Henry and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Jair's education started at Tower Hill Missionary Basic then onto Balcombe Drive Primary, where he sat and passed the GSAT exam to enter High School. Jair's grade was amongst the highest and he was awarded an entrance to one Jamaica's prestigious High Schools – Ardenne High. While attending Ardenne High, he maintained his academic standard with grades eighties and nineties.
In May 2012, Jair, along with his father Gladstone (Earl) and sister Raxone, migrated to the United States. It is there Jair settled in New Jersey. Jair continued his school education at Cumberland Regional High School located in Seabrook, New Jersey. Jair did exceptionally well. He was inducted in the National Technical Honor Society and graduated in May 2015 with distinguished honors.
After High School, he attended Cumberland County Community College where he completed his Associates degree in Business Management (2018). Additionally, Jair later received acceptance to Stockton University and worked hard towards being able to attend the university. He was also a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Jair loved to work. He obtained his first job at age 15 where he worked at Wawa. Over the years, he had several jobs and would always be 'chasing the bag.' He is remembered by his co-workers as: hardworking, caring, loving, respectful, polite, and dedicated. Jair was a young man driven with passion to achieve and had a zest for life……cheerful and motivated – not just for himself – and I can reflect on one of his favorite phrases – "I GOT YOU."
His passion for sports comes with his loudness. He was an ardent Eagles Fan and his favorite soccer teams Manchester City and Real Madrid….and trust me – you don't want to be around when those teams are playing – the passion he displayed and of course, louder than all!
We all can attest that he had a heart of gold – always willing to help his family and peers. The love he had for his family – especially his cousins, as well as his friends (he considered his friends family) was undeniable! The younger cousins (Resean, Tyrell, and Tahelia), adored him. He loved us all, but I must make mention of his favorite cousin Kahdelia (affectionately called Sherika)….an inseparable bond.
Jair, Jay, Bro Bro, Jigg – you will be sorely (deeply) missed by your loved ones, but our memories of you will be permanently etched in our hearts! Journey on our love and hey - keep it quiet in Heaven! Long Live Jair!
