EDWARDS AND SON FUNERAL HOME INC.
James D. Edwards Sr., "Big Jim" 79 of Woodstown son of the late Otis and Annie Mae Edwards and husband of Evangeline (Flood) Edwards went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2016 in Christiana Hospital, DE. Jim was born in Palestine, Texas and resided in Woodstown for over 25 years.
Jim was the Founder and Owner of Edwards and Son Funeral Home Inc. of Bridgeton and Salem. Jim received many honorable awards. He was a former Professional Football Player and was known for his love and commitment to helping children.
He was preceded in death by his son James D. Edwards Jr.
Jim leaves to cherish his memory his wife Evangeline Edwards; sons, Richard Todd Edwards (Clarisse), Curtis J. Edwards (Dee), Evander J. Edwards (Rani) and Jamil Ellison (Janeen); 7 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
