James Edward Walker Sr., affectionately known as Jamie was born on November 14, 1957 in Bridgeton, NJ. He went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2023.
Jamie was the son of the late Eloise Walker and, Johnnie Wilson. He attended Bridgeton Public School system and graduated from Job Core as an electrician.
Places of employment include Red Pack Manufacturing Company and Clement Papas Manufacturing Company for several years. After retirement, he started his own business as a Carpenter. He was skilled in many areas, Jamie was known to be "A jack of all trades".
Jamie enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his brother Tommy. He also found tremendous pleasure fishing, barbequing, and watching football. His favorite NFL team was the New England Patriots. He took pride in being a father, grandfather and brother. Family sticking together meant a lot to him.
He leaves his unconditional love to his five children, James Walker Jr. of Camden, NJ; Edward Walker Sr. of Bridgeton, NJ; Merietha Walker of Millville, NJ; Anthony (Damyra) Walker Sr. of Bridgeton, NJ; LeQuint Allen Sr. of Millville, NJ; and a total of 19 grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his love and memories with his one brother William (Rebecca) Walker Sr. of Bridgeton, NJ; five sisters, Faye Walker of Ft Lauderdale, FL; Mildred and Sharon Walker both of Bridgeton, NJ; Michelle McLeod of Salisbury, MD; and Edith (Rev. Darrel) Clark Sr. of Vineland, NJ; two aunts, Elder Martenia Cupe, and Effie Jones both of Bridgeton, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
He was predeceased by his loving mother and father, one sister Martenia Walker, one brother Anthony Walker, four uncles Clarence Walker, Francis Cupe, William Cupe, and Robert Cupe, three aunts, Lillian Chitty, Dorothy Dent, and Mattie Morgan.
