Jerom “Jerry” Lane, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Jerry later relocated to Bridgeton, New Jersey as a young man, where he built his life and strong family roots.

Jerry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for a short time before receiving a medical discharge. He went on to work as a chemical engineer at Mobil and Valero Refinery in Paulsboro, New Jersey, where he dedicated many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lillian Hall; his parents, Ella Mae Bailey and Thomas Lane; his brothers, Jimmy and Jeffery Lane; and his sister, Janice Lane.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Beverly Lane; his sisters, Joyce (Allen) Brewer, Rosemarie (Zach) Patterson, and Sharyne (Curtis) Slater; his brothers, Michael and Maurice Lane, and Rodney A. Bailey; and his children, Sara (Michael) Simmons, Donald (Richard) Mosley, Jerome (Kecia) Lane Jr., Frank (Karlene) Lane, Sharon (Martin) Hood, Eric (Brandy) Lane, Kevin Burden, Cicely Smith, and William (Lynette) Lane.

He will be deeply missed by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many loving family members and friends.

Jerry’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
