Jerry
Butler
July 28, 1964 – November 10, 2024
Jerry "Ice" Butler was born July 28, 1964, in Camden, NJ, to Ethel Mae Wheeler and Isaac Butler. He graduated from Glassboro High School and earned an auto body repair certificate from Penco Tech.
He was always fascinated and interested in electrical devices and cars. Jerry spent many hours at Atco Raceway and the Annual Philadelphia and Atlantic City custom car shows: his dream car, a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda.
The greatest love he had was for rollerskating. He learned to skate in Franklinville, New Jersey, but he's known in almost every skating ring in the tri-state area including New York and Connecticut; as " The Ice Man ".
He passed surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with blood clots and other health issues. He always remained in good spirits, had a great attitude, and made everyone around him feel his sincerity and love for them.
He is survived by his four siblings, Helen Moore (Reggie), Gregory (Jr.) Butler (Deborah), Sylvester (Crump) Butler (Glenda), Keith (Donnie) Butler (Pauline), and special friend Peggy Jones.
