Jesse James Carter age 65, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home. Born in Richmond, Virginia to the late Nevis and Hazel Carter, Sr. of Rosenhayn, New Jersey.

He worked at Mervek Co. in Bridgeton until the company shut down. Then he moved to Maryland and worked at the Pentagon for 5 years, before moving back to New Jersey. Jesse worked as a truck driver until he became ill. Jesse enjoyed spending time with his family and cooking on the grill.  His interests and hobbies were riding his motorcycle, going fishing, collecting swords and boats, and was a devout Eagles fan.

He leaves to Cherish in his memories his lovely wife Christine Carter, two sons, two daughters, two step sons; Jesse (Charlene) Carter, Joshua Carter, Kyshia Lewis, Taijha (Kareem), Terry (Ashley) Morgan, Raymond Morgan. Grandchildren; Nathaniel Carter, Isaiah Carter, KaNija Kent, Julia Carter, Camorra, and Terraya, Destiny, Nevaeh, Andrea, Terry Jr., Kareem, 13 brothers and sisters; Thelma Harcum, Elaine Murray, Willie Carter, Nevis Carter Jr., John (Vergie) Carter, Frank (Jerri) Carter, Beal (Debbie) Carter, Hazel Hightower, Helen (Joe) Rainner, Wayne (Giulia) Carter, Herbert Carter, Lena (Nedd) Johnson Sr, Howard (Gwen) Carter, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother in law, Henry Murray, one daughter in law, Jessica Carter, and one nephew, Oatis Wise.
